esctoday.com napisał: | The rehearsal schedule for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf is commencing today. Esctoday.com will bring you live commentary of the rehearsal on stage as well and video and pictures of the performances.
We will be following the rehearsals mostly via the Press and Media Centre monitors, which will be similar to what will eventually be the transmission. The all important sound feed will be also the one transmitted to the screens, as that will be what people at home will hear.
Today the following countries from the first semi-final will have 40 minutes on the stage each to test and plan their performances technically: Poland, Norway, Albania, Armenia, (break), Turkey, Serbia, Russia, (break), Switzerland, Georgia and Finland. The rehearsals come to an end by 18.00 CET.
After the first rehearsals each delegation are either having an intimate press conference, one-on-one interviews, photo moments or fan meet & greets, depending on the delegations wishes.
Poland
First country to rehearse is Poland. We will be updating this article with live reports.
We are seeing the full stage for the first time in action. It seems to be spreading over a very wide area and in all directions. The set seems to blend in this year seamlessly to the other lighting like spotlights operated from the ceiling. It all makes for a very powerful visual experience and gives the long-running TV entertainment show a wonderful and different new look. With the clever use of camera work the size of the stage itself seems unimportant now, as it is all about a total experience.
Magdalena Tul has now run her Jestem through a couple of times and the feed to the Press centre is working after initial glitches The Polish performance has Magdalena flanked by two female dancers. There are also two dancing female backing singers and a male backing singer. It all seems a tight and well-rehearsed dance performance at this point already and will be a worthy opener for this year’s contest in the first semi-final. Magdalena seems to manage to sing in tune and dance at the same time effortlessly. The team use some explosions of smoke to accentuate the performance, with the colours mostly in yellows and reds. Some fine-tuning might be needed to find a suitable role for the lone male backing singer, who now seems a bit lost on his own. |
