5. Apart from being a singer, you are also a composer and a lyricist. Tell us which is the general message that you want to spread with your music and which is in your opinion the most beautiful verse that you have ever written?
...I don’t think I’m able to recite my favourite verses. I’m not sure if they are that brilliant;) Instead, I could keep reciting Paolo Coehlo on and on. It is worth noting that one of the compositions, included in my album, was inspired by the book ”Wojownik światła” – (The Warrior of the light) Of course, I sent it to the author as a token of my sincere gratitude;)
6. You are a very beautiful woman. Tell us what you do for this and whether you think that beauty and the image help more a breakthrough artist nowadays.
That’s very nice of you. Thanks;) As a matter of fact, I do very little for beauty, if I do anything at all. As a working mother, I have hardly any time for having a beauty parlour at home. If the need arises, I visit my beautician or a hairdresser. I know how important it is to look presentable in my profession but it is not like me to spend hours in the clothes shops or walk in the high heels shoes. Having spent the whole day in a dress, jewelery, make-up and uncomfortable shoes during the recording sesion, I can see no need and no reason why I should continue like this during my daily activities. I do all of this only when I find it necessary for my career.
7.If you were to choose between music and acting, what could you give up instead of the other? What role would you like to play, being given the opportunity again?
Music has always been going first and I wouldn’t change it for anything else. Of course, I’ve been interested in acting for a long time but I’ve never got fully involved in it. However, although music is my life, I’d like to develop my acting skills if I had a chance because they prove really useful when you are performing on stage. As a matter of fact, we also act our parts when we keep performing our songs. Up till now, I have played and lived in the world of musicals and certain roles including Christine in ”Phantom in the Opera” seem very close to me. It is worth noting that I applied for the role of Christine when I was pregnant and the last casting session was held when I was in the 8th month of pregnancy. That must have looked funny; a woman in advanced pregnancy trying to play the role of a teenage girl;) However, I was feeling great and the date of the premiere was so distant that evyrything might have proved possible. The jury asked me not to dance;)
9. What do you know by far about Romania? Would you like to come for a concert here?
I’d love to come to Romania and give you a concert. This is what I dream of doing in the future; travelling all over the world and giving concerts. I’ve never been to Romania but I hope I’ll have a chance to visit you. Such inteviews provide a good opportunity to broaden one’s knowledge about a particular country but if you really want to gain some knowledge about the social and cultural life of its inhabitants, you should go and stay there for a certain period of time. Mere bookish knowledge is not enough. As far as Romanian music is concerned, the TV programme ”Jaka to melodia”(Name That Tune), in which I regularly perform, has already hosted the two Romanian bands, Akcent and Morandi. |
